Situated over the county border in neighbouring Nottinghamshire next to the village of Ossington, very little remains of this former WW2 airfield, which is located about 8 miles North West of Newark.

The airfield was open between 1942-1946 and is disected by the B1164 road which actually follows parts of the main runways.

The buildings on the site have long been demolished, though a few remnants still exist. Most of the old runways, except those parts the main road follows, have been churned up and the site returned to farmland, though the perimiter track still remains, along with a few bits and pieces in the bomb stores in North Wood, which is to the North of the site alongside Moorhouse road.
