RAF Fiskerton was open between 1943-1945 and is located about half a mile North of the village, some 5 miles East of Lincoln.

Very little remains of the former airfield, which has since reverted to agriculture, but parts of the runway and perimeter track are still intact and are dissected by Reepham road, which runs between Fiskerton and Reepham (which had to be closed during the war years).

The hangers and most of the buildings have been pulled down over the years, the control tower being demolished in 1978, but a couple of the old accommodation site buildings on the South-East side of the airfield, accessible from Hall Lane, still stand but in a very dilapidated state.

The old rifle range on the North side of the airfield, accessible from Moor Lane, is still there and is currently being used by a private gun club. The bomb stores, which are located half a mile North of the airfield, on a road East of Reepham village (also called Moor lane just to confuse matters) are still there, but somewhat overgrown.

Part of the former site was actually bought back by the MOD in 1960, who used it to build a 3 storey deep Nuclear Bunker. However this was closed down in 1992 when the cold war came to an end and today is owned by a firearms firm, who use it for manufacturing specialist ammunition and police training.

A memorial to the old Airfield can be found at the side of Reepham road, North of the village, next to one of the dissecting runways
