From Graham Walter at 2008-07-31 21:00:46 : Our oldest son was born at Nocton Hall 42 years ago while I was stationed at RAF Newton. My wife and I were visiting the area on the 29th of July this year and we gained access through the now open gates and we were both very sad to see the hall gutted and the now overgrown buildings empty and in ruins. My wife and son spent 4 weeks at the hospital as our son was premature so we got to know the hospital and the surrounding area very well and have happy memories.
It was a busy bustling hospital and we remembered pushing our son around the well kept grounds in a pram supplied by the staff.
From Wendy Savage at 2008-09-05 09:42:00 : I thought I would look up where I was born and found these photos - wow what a wonderful building, such a shame it is now in this state. I too am 42 years old and was born at Nocton Hall, I wonder if it was around the same time as your son. I was born on 20th July and my maiden name was Hall, my parents were Ann and Michael. It would be great to hear from you.
