From A. Gardiner at 2009-07-24 20:05:13 : Visited the ruins of Nocton Hall Hospital today (24th July 2009). I worked as a civilian secretary to the ENT and the Dental Departments from 1955 until I left in 1959 when I married Corporal Alan Gardiner, a dental technician then serving in the Dental Department. Today he found his way back into that department - with the name plate still on the door. It was a very strange and eerie experience to see everything in ruin - the old Ward 2 which was where the civilian secretaries to the consultants had their desks.
